With No Tourists – No income and no Gov't support the continuation of this proud villages's premier attraction was under threat.
But now The Original Monkey Forest is back open, However we are always grateful for support to maintain this incredible historic attraction.
A 35-acre forest with 17th-century Hindu temple ruins & hoards of tame grey macaque monkeys. Come watch them perform their natural antics in a quiet, relaxed and historic temple dating back to the 17th century. Step back in time and into the calm of Bali's Original Monkey Forest.

Funds collected from several people will be collected and dispersed. Funds collection reports will always be updated for transparency.
Primarily, the funds raised will buy monkey food. as well as the attraction essentials. Food will be directly purchased and distributed by the SMF officials in collaboration with volunteers.
Volunteers will be encouraged to help provide food to the monkeys in the monkey forest and assist in maintaining the unique heritage attraction.
